The Donald had persuaded the rioters that he was robbed. And he further convinced them that Vice President Pence had the power to restore his presidency by decertifying the election based on the Electoral Vote Count Act of 1887. But Pence stood up to Trump, sending him back in exile to Mar-a-Largo. No proof has been found that enough votes were stolen to turn the election Trump’s way. So it was a big lie all right. Right up there with Stacey Abrams‘ lie that she’s the legit governor of Georgia. And before that there were other lies: the ‘Resistance’ deniers of Trump’s 2016 victory, the Steele Dossier—secretly funded by the Clinton campaign, Trump as a Russian asset and Adam Schiff claiming he had the evidence in plain sight. But 22 months of investigation by Robert Mueller couldn’t prove it. Lying that the POTUS is a Russian asset?
