“As a white male, I can’t truly understand what it must be like to be Black and fearful of the police. I have enough worries as it is and can do without the added anxiety of wondering whether I might be maced or shot during a routine traffic stop. Personally, I’m thankful for the protection the police offer me, my family, and my community, and I’m sympathetic to all the good cops out there whose good names are stained by the bad ones. But these violent outcomes for Black men have got to stop.” – NB
