How Much Does a South Carolinian Have to Hate Themselves to Vote for Nancy Mace?
Mace treats her constituents like props in her never-ending social media circus, doing everything in her power to make their lives worse.
Nancy Mace has never been one to hide her contempt for the people she pretends to represent—but her latest expletive-laden public tantrum is another illustration of Republican disdain for everyday Americans.
When a constituent, Ely Murray-Quick, dared to ask her if she planned on holding a town hall (that thing representatives do to… you know… listen to voters), Mace responded with what’s now her trademark reaction—she went on an unhinged, potty-mouthed, tirade—and then pretended to feel threatened.
Incapable of behaving like a normal human, Mace’s profanity-fueled tantrum included calling her constituent “absolutely f*cjing crazy,” telling him to “get out of her face” even though he was never closer than 8 feet away, and then, like the mature public servant she is, blasting him on social media as an “unhinged” weirdo in “daisy dukes.”
This is what passes for “constituent services” in MAGAtville.
Murray-Quick later explained he was simply seeking information, only to be met with insults and public humiliation. “Your vitriol in your statements alone, Nancy, makes it crystal clear that you’re not someone who truly cares about all people—just the ones who stroke your ego or your campaign checks,”
He responded to her incessant “daisy dukes” social media posts.
For days, like a typical emotionally-stunted Trumpanzee, Mace proceeded to lie and attack Murray-Quick on social media. Yep. this is a member of Congress, this is what money-in-politics, and partisan gerrymandering has wrought.

Ugly run-ins with Nancy Mace aren’t isolated incidents—they’re part of a long, well-worn pattern of Republican victimhood performance art, and Mace has become a maestro at it. Whenever she’s confronted with anything less than uncritical praise, she pivots to the same tired act: pretending she’s under attack, bullied, or “harassed” by constituents who dare to question her record or rhetoric.
Frankly, it would be a blessing in disguise if Mace just simply ignored her constituents. Unfortunately, she actively works to make their lives worse—and not just the ones who have the misfortune of encountering her in daily life.
While her entire political career now hinges on stoking hate against trans people (a group that makes up less than 1% of the population but 90% of her fundraising strategy), she’s systematically stripping South Carolinians of health care, education, and economic stability. Let’s all remember that Mace was pro-trans rights before she found out how lucrative it was for her campaign coffers.
How Nancy Mace Actively Makes South Carolina Worse
Decades of Republican rule have left South Carolina near the bottom nationally in education, GDP growth, children’s health and women’s wellbeing —despite Nancy always going on about how she’s ‘standing up’ for women.
Face it. South Carolina is just another poorly-run Republican red state where targeting minority groups passes for “leadership” while the state falls lower in every positive measure.
Let’s count the ways this performative ghoul has screwed over the people she pretends to represent:
Health Care Sabotage: Mace has repeatedly voted against expanding Medicaid, leaving thousands of low-income South Carolinians without access to affordable care. Meanwhile, she supports policies that drive up premiums and gut protections for pre-existing conditions.
Attacking Public Education: She backs school voucher schemes that drain funding from public schools, ensuring poorer districts get even fewer resources. Because nothing says “I love my constituents” like sabotaging their kids’ futures.
Keeping Wages Poverty-Level: Mace opposes raising the minimum wage, because why should workers afford food and rent when Elon Musk could buy another Republican?
Culture War Grifting: While her constituents struggle, Mace spends her time demonizing trans kids, pushing bathroom bills, and using LGBTQ+ people as punching bags to distract from the fact that South Carolina suffers under Republican policy failures.
Tearing Communities Apart With Hate: Nancy doesn’t just poison the health, wealth, opportunities and retirement security of the people of South Carolina’s 1st District, she does all she can to poison people’s minds, souls and hearts as well.
While cutting as many lifelines as she can, Mace takes every opportunity to act like the most awful and entitled bully in grammar school. Except, she’s a grown-ass adult member of Congress. The general welfare of a unified populace is for those “loony libs” and, let’s face it, Republicans hate “E Pluribus Unum”. It’s just too “woke” for them.
Republicans like Mace never tire of being on the wrong side of decency, dignity, democracy, humanity and history. Trust me. Her antics won’t age well. Here she is using a slur against trans people.
Nancy Mace, the Grifter Who Cries “Victim”—Again, and Again, and Again
In December, Mace had a foster care and trans rights advocate James McIntyre arrested for shaking her hand. Of course, multiple eyewitnesses described the handshake as “normal” but Nancy topped off her performance with stroll through the Capitol wearing a cast. Federal prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges but that didn’t stop the “representative of the people” from whining on Fox News about all the “pain” from the encounter. You see, Trumpanzees… “they’re” coming to shake "your” hand! But Nancy is standing in the way!
Like her fellow Trump cultists, Nancy is a professional victim who cries “persecution” while in fact, she is the perpetrator.
The Real Reason Mace Hates Town Halls
Mace hates town halls because she can’t handle being questioned about her abhorrent immoral behavior. Town halls require facing the people whose lives you’re ruining—and Mace would rather hide behind performative outrage on Fox News segments than explain why she’s done nothing to actually help anyone other than herself.
On top of representing a heavily gerrymandered district designed to insulate her from real accountability, Nancy Mace relies on a steady stream of Fox News misinformation to keep her base riled up and misinformed. Her supporters enable her behavior not in spite of her divisiveness, but because she targets the same groups they do.
South Carolinians are making the choice to validate Mace’s hate and unhinged antics with their vote, and their communities are paying a heavy price.
The only question left to ask them is—Seriously… forget the targeted minority groups, how much do you have to hate yourself to vote for someone like Nancy Mace?
